Welbilt Achieves ISO 9001:2015 Certification for Design and Manufacture of Cleveland Branded Commercial Stainless Steel Kettles, Tilt Skillets and Steamers

New Port Richey, FL. – Welbilt, Inc. (NYSE:WBT), a leading global supplier of commercial foodservice equipment, announced today its Concord, Ontario manufacturing facility, which produces Cleveland branded equipment, has passed ISO 9001:15 certification for the design and manufacture of commercial stainless steel kettles, tilt skillets and steamers.

ISO 900The ISO 9001 is an international, complex, risk-based standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). Organizations use the standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements. It is the only standard in the series to which organizations can certify. ISO 9001 provides a process-oriented approach to documenting and reviewing the structure, responsibilities, and procedures required to achieve effective quality management in an organization.

Every unit is inspected, certified and stamped with the ASME BPVC certification mark before leaving our manufacturing facility.”

ISO 9001:2015 is the latest revision of the standard on QMS. The requirements for ISO 9001:2015 certification are:
 
  • the demonstrated ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and
  • enhanced customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
